Conran and Partners projects have been shortlisted for two British Homes awards: Gabriel Square, St Albans, in the ‘Home of the Year (in a multi-unit scheme)’ category and Blake Tower, London, in the ‘Refurbishment / Conversion of the Year’ category.

Blake Tower has been transformed from a former youth hostel. The new homes are a mix of one, two and three bedrooms, studios and two penthouses to encourage a range of different occupiers.

Gabriel Square promotes the idea of high-end, London-style dwelling and comprises 80 residences – 52 town houses and 28 apartments arranged around a newly-created landscaped urban garden, referencing London’s large Georgian and Victorian residential squares.

The awards ceremony takes place on 21 September at London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
